Barzakh, 2016
Giclée print

The Barzakh series originated from a desire of giving a psychological fascination a visual existence. “He saw a woman hanging by her hair,” I heard that in a story when I was a little girl. I was not scared but curious. To this day, I keep questioning that memory: what an extreme punishment! how would that be possible? how would it feel like? what would it look like? how long would one last before the scalp tears off the skull? and where would one fall?

But in Barzakh, the suspense is endless.
